Digital products — 30-day money-back guarantee

Please note: any downloadable PDF guides (including the Back to Basics Sewing Guide and any other digital downloads purchased as add-ons) are strictly non-refundable. As these are delivered instantly via email upon purchase, they remain in your possession permanently and cannot be returned or revoked. By purchasing any PDF guide, you acknowledge and agree that these items are exempt from the 30-day money-back guarantee.

As Alter It Yourself is a digital product with instant access to all course content upon purchase, we do not issue refunds as standard. However, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for students who have genuinely engaged with the course and have been unable to achieve results.

To qualify for a refund, you must:

  • Have watched every lesson in the course in full, from start to finish
  • Have worked through the entire course content
  • Have attempted every alteration covered in the course
  • Have been unable to successfully complete a single alteration despite the above
  • Submit your refund request within 30 days of your original purchase date
  • Email us at cs@stitchedfits.co.uk with your order number and clear evidence of the attempted alterations (photos or videos of your work)

This guarantee exists because we want you to genuinely try the course before deciding it isn't for you. Alterations are a skill that takes a little practice, and the techniques only truly click once you've put them into action — which is why we ask you to work through the course properly before requesting a refund.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Not having time to work through the course
  • Already being familiar with the techniques covered
  • Preferring a different teaching style
  • Not having attempted the alterations
  • Any request submitted after the 30-day period, regardless of whether the course has been accessed

By purchasing the course, you confirm that you have reviewed the full list of lessons available on the sales page and understand exactly what is included. The advertising and course content are fully transparent and available to review before purchase.

Once a refund has been processed, your access to the course and the members-only community will be revoked, and cannot be reinstated.

Physical products

For any physical products we offer, you have 30 days from the date of receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be unused, unworn, in its original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase.

To start a return contact us at cs@stitchedfits.co.uk before sending anything back — items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted. If your return is approved we will send you a return shipping label and instructions.

Damages and issues

If your item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect please contact us immediately at cs@stitchedfits.co.uk so we can put it right.

Exchanges

The quickest way to exchange an item is to return it and place a new order once your return is accepted.

EU customers

If you are based in the European Union you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason, provided the item is unused and in its original condition with proof of purchase.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved please contact us at cs@stitchedfits.co.uk. Please note that the above refund process applies to physical products only.
